WE WANTED YOUR OLD PARTS !

(Rigs, Fins, Hulls, Sails, Fittings, Remote Gear, ect)

 

We have people coming down to our club and interested in getting into the Sport

EVERY WEEKEND.

 

They then ask where can I buy an IOM and go sailing tomorrow?

 

We recommend new or even the yacht we currently have on the water sailing.

Then they ask, “How much….?”

(At $2000+ they are generally shocked Price vs Size and can disappear into the sunset)

 

The new price is sometimes hard to initially justify to just get started on day one.

Or they currently just don’t have the funds today (eg. school kids or social sailors)

 

These people can be really keen and it is better to get them on the water today,

Rather than loose another potential club member for the future.

 

We need to get some “B Division” yachts to get these people sailing today

And get them hooked like we are...

They can always flick off this yacht in six month time and upgrade to a new boat.

(You might then have two new members…)

 

CAN YOU HELP US NOW ???

 

In your shed is old model yacht parts which you are never going to use again.

We want them to build up some more IOM yachts.

Especial rigging like booms, goosenecks and vangs, ect.

 

Let’s get these parts on the water sailing

Rather than collecting dust in the back of your shed forever…

 

We have been able to launch two more complete IOM’s from just bits and pieces

that were lying around our sheds after just six months of tinkering.

 

There has to be hundreds of complete or IOM parts just forgotten hiding in sheds.
