Hi All

Here are some details for ease of finding the venue for 3/4 December at Waikanae.

The attached maps have entry details for access to the area and also a map showing easiest route from Waikanae to the gate.

Some housekeeping:

The local team will be onsite on Saturday at 8-8.15am so please plan to arrive from then.

Briefing will be 9.00am Saturday and racing start within about 15mins of briefing end. Plan on sailing till 4 - 430pm. I suggest you all bring a camp chair as well.

Sunday kick off 9am and end with last race starting no later than 12.45pm. Lunch during pack up with trophy presentation by about 1.20ish allowing to leave by 1.30 for trek home.

SI's - simple - turn up - bring an IOM - sail - have fun - go home

Starts will be 2 minute countdown

Over the line in last 1 minute = go around the ends - i.e. no dip starts.

Course will be on whiteboard on the day.

Protests - not allowed! Sort it out on the water nicely please. A full 360 - i.e. gybe and tack must be done ASAP after incident. If  you do need a protest it will be at discretion of the RO - Brian Hogg - talk nicely whilst handing him a rum - must be good rum as well :-)

It looks like 1 fleet - we have 12 at the moment - excellent.

Racing format will be - 1 race - tweak time then 3 races between breaks so we maximise amount of racing. Breaks of 5 mins or so for tweak or drink.

NO 5 minute holds can for - if it's broke sorry please take the hit and use that as a drop result. DNS or DNF = fleet + 1

Scoring - low points with 1 discard available every 7 completed races - discards worst scores over the series - e.g. if race 2 and 4 are the worst you have in 14 completed they will be your 2 drops.

Lunches - are your own responsibility - Tauranga crew there is a Subway approx 250m south of the motel on SH1 where you are staying or there is a New World and Countdown also wihin a few metres where goods are available.

IMPORTANT - When you arrive at the gate and it appears to be locked please check the padlock - if it is open just come on through the gate but please close the gate again with padlock through chain so it cannot swing open - DO NOT relock it. Follow road around on until you get to the parking area shown attachment. Please keep speed down.

See you all next week.

Cheers

Chris Harmer - NZL666
