23th Feb - Ohope Beach - 20 knots at 30 deg onshore
Graham, Clem and Darren braved the Storm at Ohope this afternoon.
One tight tack up to the spit
Directly onshore around the spit (very fast)
Run into the soft sand to slow down enought to turn (without capsizing)
Fast run out and a one downwind run on the edge of control to the camp
Several slides before washing enought speed of to tack or gybe (without capsizing)
Clem keep clicking 99 kilometers per hour in his Class 5
Both Darren and Clem could not get the magic 100kph mark today.
So top speed in a Class 5 on OHOPE BEACH now stand at 99.3kph to Clem with 4.5m sail and heaps of balist
